Comfrey Cottage

Comfrey Cottage is a beautifully restored free-standing house comprising three bedrooms (two double beds, two single beds), a lounge, dining room, kitchen, bathroom and toilet.  Situated in a park-like garden at the foot of the mountains in Lady Grey, it is often described as a home-away-from-home.  Visitors are welcome to wander through the adjoining properties Pear Tree and Porcupine Place.

The cottage is self-catering but breakfast is served on the patio.  Weather permitting; a three course dinner in Pear Tree Forest with candle-lit table and paraffin lamps in the trees is not to be missed.

To enhance the Comfrey visitor’s experience, guided tours to Joubert’s Pass (the third highest in the country) are offered in a game-viewing vehicle.  Sundowner trips can also be arranged.  Among the many things to do using Comfrey as a base are fly-fishing, hunting, bird-watching, mountain biking, abseiling, golf, tennis and picnics.  Historical rock art sites, arts and crafts centres and museums are also near in the tranquil town of Lady Grey.
