Wild Break

Wild Break has mostly been busy with community upliftment and training programmes for the past year and only recently started making products to sell. Most of their products were sold to buy materials and to cover their transport costs to the different townships in the area. They focused on rural areas where work is scarce and unemployment rife. Here they taught people how to do fabric painting and helped them market and sell their products in order to make a living.

They recently decided to make more products themselves as well as to continue with the training and upliftment programmes. The project originally started as an arts and crafts project at Alphendale School and evolved into what it has become today. They are now pushing to have their products enter the retail market and so will focus more on quantity and quality. Items that are sold include ceramic objects, gifts, fabric painting and oil painting. They also offer day hikes in East London and the surrounding areas.
