The Berghouse and Cottages

World Class Mountain Views from four comfortable cottages on a 648ha privately owned estate, offering visitors spectacular accommodation and numerous activities in a scenic environment.

The property provides you with unique, panoramic views of the Drakensberg spires from as far as the Monk’s Cowl and Cathkin Park to the Amphitheatre and Maluti mountains in the Northern Drakensberg.

Comfortable accommodation is offered in four well-furnished, privately situated cottages. Each cottage has fully equipped kitchens, kitchenettes and log fireplaces with an abundance of firewood on site. Each cottage offers scenic views of the surrounding valleys and mountains.

Home-cooked cuisine awaits those who choose to have dinner or breakfast at the cottage. Picnic hampers are also provided (meals and hampers by prior arrangement).

The Berghouse and Cottages offers a range of activities including:

• hiking, with various degrees of difficulty;
  
• the neighbouring World Heritage Site in the Royal Natal National Park, approximately 16km away;
  
• guided horse-riding trails on Basotho ponies through splendid scenery;
  
• fly-fishing in dams and rivers on the western boundary of the property;
  
• mountain biking; and
  
• 4x4 trails.

Conference facilities for a maximum of 15 delegates are also available.
