Sukkel maar Wikkel Catering
Both ladies learnt how to cook from their parents, and have a number of delicious dishes and experiences on offer.
A few examples of their dishes:
- Potjiekos: This traditional stew is cooked in an iron pot over an open fire, and visitors are able to sit around under the stars and watch the meal being prepared;
- Picnic: Roosterbrood, homemade gingerbeer, moerkoffie in a flask;
- Puddings – the ladies will teach you how to make a number of traditional puddings (including the Rolly Polly pudding) that can be enjoyed afterwards. The ingredients of the Klaarstroom ‘bruin’ pudding are a community secret, so the recipe will have to be handed over in confidence; or
- Typical dishes: These dishes include afval (tripe), Karoo lamb, soup and beans.
