Sinenjongo Cultural Craft

The Sinenjongo Cultural Craft Project is a community-based organisation providing rural, unemployed women with skills training as well as the opportunity to put these newly acquired skills into practice and earn an income. Community commitment and participation is the essence of this project.

Township tours can also be arranged through Sinenjongo. Visitors to the area can help promote cultural tourism by experiencing a traditional Xhosa lunch served by ladies dressed in traditional clothing, watching a traditional dance and visiting a local shebeen (bar) in the local Nkululeko township. Every effort is made to ensure the safety of visitors and a Sinenjongo guide accompanies all groups.
