Powertown Crafters Group
The Powertown Crafters Group is a small organisation driven by local women. The project was started with the main objective being to sell crafts, raise money and buy better equipment.
The individual members also wanted to improve their personal skills, and have since inception all completed Abbotts College certificates in English. The group specialise in screen painting, duvet covers, bed socks, caps, birthday cards and jerseys. The ladies make jerseys for the AIDS home in Mossel’s Bay – they get the wool donated and don’t charge for their time.
