Osbosch Farm Lodge
The farm OSBOSCH is a family farm and the sixth generation of Du Toit’s live there. The farm stretches down to the Kromme River and the sea. The historical figure, Piet Uys (Voortrekker) also lived on the farm.
“I’ve often wondered why he would give all this up for the tragic destiny that awaited him in Natal.”
The farm offers a large en suite bedroom, with an outside entrance and magnificent view, and sleeps three.
The self-catering cottage consists of an open plan lounge, fully equipped kitchen, bedroom with en-suite and sleeps four guests. A large outside braai (barbeque) area is also available.
Osbosch also offers other opportunities - excellent for bird-watching. The St. Francis bird-watching club visits the farm once a term. A wide variety of birds can be seen as the sea, river, dunes and pastures are their different habitats. Blue cranes are also regularly spotted.
A rare species of orchid, which blooms in October - November, can also be found on the farm.
