Nikalandershoek Guest Farm
Accommodation offered is a fully equipped, 2-bedroom cottage with en suite bathrooms, open plan kitchen with living room, and an outside deck with braai (barbeque) facilities. The cottage is secluded and surrounded by a beautiful garden with access to the river for canoeing, fishing, swimming and bird watching; for the adventurous there is horse riding.
At Nikalandershoek visitors can experience tranquillity in a setting surrounded by a selection of bird- and wildlife. Wake up to the cry of the hadedas or fish eagles, wander through the citrus orchards and experience a true spiritual ambience.
Activities/attractions in the area: Kouga dam, Baviaanskloof Wilderness area, Bergvenster (window in the mountain), Tolbos country shop and restaurant, a selection of 4x4 trails, Gonjah private game reserve, Shumba Safari’s (home to lions, giraffe and antelope), burial place of Sarah Bartmann in Hankey.
Nichola suggests that you bring the following for a fabulous stay:
"Binoculars if you are keen on bird-watching, a torch is always handy if you go out for a stroll at night, walking shoes if you want to do a bit of hiking, a good book to read, and do not forget your swimwear in summer".
