Mwanomei Mukolo / Island Visiting

Enquire at the Lusu Mission to make contact with Supani, who is also the local area councillor for the Lusu area.

Arrangements will be made for transfer to Lusu East in a banana boat (a true experience!). Apart from taking visitors to some of the many islands on the Zambezi River, Supani can also take visitors to various villages in the area. Tourists will be able to experience how locals make magongo nut oil by seeing the process from start to finish. Oil will also be sold to anyone who is interested.

Visitors can also see how reed mats are made, axes are carved and he will talk about the history and traditions of the area.
