Lekkersing Arts and Culture Society

The Arts and Culture Society of Lekkersing is a group of people who are expressing their culture through their hands.  The group makes a variety of products through knitting, handwork, drawing, crocheting, needlework, embroidery, etc. 

Products include riempiestoele (three legged leather stools), the covering for the ‘matjieshutte’ (traditional dwellings), as well as ‘doilies’ (cloth lids for bottles) and other attractive decorative items. 

The society is the perfect place to stop and rest while learning a little about the culture of the area.  Also ask Gloria to tell you more about the catering services that the Nama group has to offer.
