Jone's Homestay

Ilene loves welcoming people into her home, and as she was born in Nelspoort has many stories to share about the history of the area, as well as the people. 

For dinner, guests will be able to enjoy fresh veggies from the community vegetable garden and a selection of traditional dishes - salad, chicken, chops, samp and rice being favourites.  Mealie meal porridge is on offer for breakfast and Ilene’s speciality is roosterbrood.

Ilene owns a pig, and is a small farmer herself, and will tell people the basics of farming if they’re interested. 

The homestay is neat and clean and Ilene looks at the special touches, such as putting flowers next to your bed.
