Intact Theatre

Intact Theatre was started in 1994 by John Paile. It was then known as the Tafelkop theatre organisation. Intact Theatre was joined by individuals and theatre practitioners and aimed to create jobs for artists, promote, facilitate and train in all theatre skills and art and project management in Tafelkop and its neighbouring districts and regions.

Intact Theatre performed nationally at Market Theatre Laboratory for five years and in won a competition.  It was invited to participate at the main theatre at “Market Theatre” for Cultural exchange programmes.

Intact Theatre has participated in a number of festivals country wide, and has been awarded fifteen awards, including City Press and Naspers, Community builder of the year, Limpopo Arts award, and many more.

Intact Theatre is funded by the National Arts Council.
