De Molen

De Molen Farm was established before the Anglo-Boer War and has a cemetery dating back to 1800 – one of the graves is said to be that of a British soldier who perished on the farm during the war.

De Molen Farm has a self-catering farmhouse and cottages that are fully equipped with linen provided.  Lock-up garages are available for vehicles.  Activities on the farm or in the vicinity include trout fishing (river and dams), beautiful walks, picnic spots, climbing, golf and cycling.  Coaching for fly-fishing is available and rods can be hired – beginners are welcome.  Fishing is catch and release only.

The farm is located a ten minute drive from the Golden Gate National Park.  There are caves on the farm and also plenty of small game as the farm is part of the local conservancy.
