Craigrossie Trout Lodges

On the moon there is an area called the ‘Sea of Tranquillity’ – named because of the absolute serenity of its surrounds.  Does one have to travel to the moon to experience this place?

At Craigrossie Trout Lodges, the moon is not on offer, but a little slice of heaven is – two trout dams stocked with brown and rainbow trout, only three hours from Johannesburg, Pietermaritzburg and Bloemfontein.

Located at the foot of the Rooiberge, the lodges offer stylish waterfront self-catering accommodation and a chance to experience a world where time stands still.  All the lodges are equipped with braai (barbecue) areas and two lodges are wheelchair friendly.  What could be better that fighting fish, gazing at blesbok and zebra, bird-watching, breathtaking views, fresh mountain air and clear stars in the African night sky?
