Vera tells of the start of her business in her own words:
“During the flower season, I saw how many people came through Leliefontein and asked for overnight accommodation and braai facilities. I then decided to open a caravan park, and spoke with the health inspector who gave me guidance. I want to try my best to upgrade the site every year. Toilets, braai (barbeque) facilities, washing facilities, a campsite and round huts are available.”
"With the Leliefontein Kulturele Kamp caravan and campsite as a base, visitors can take their time to explore the delightful little village of Leliefontein. Why not invite the locals to join your campfire and listen to some stories about the region? ‘Kulturele Kamp’ means ‘cultural camp’, so this is the ideal place to learn about the local culture."
