Just a quick comment on the water. It is perfect as drinking water, the Kwandu water is pristine and better than anything you will find in a first world nation.
Also watch Bum Hill for some exciting new developments for campers and travellers alike.

So yeah I ware wigs, thare fun. I use to know a family of Rasta but they moved and then they fell victim to a drive by in Kingston, my they have better next lives or may they rest in peace whichever they prefer. So how was your day? Mine was felled with the arts, dancing, plays, panting that sort of thing.
Could Prof Anne Rasa please contact me. I have just finished reading "Mongoose Watch" - a study in the Tara desert Anne first told me about when we spent Easter together at Daphne Sheldrick's home in the Nairobi National Park in 1983. I want to know if the hornbills in the Kalahari forage with meercats & mongooses as in Kenya?
some years ago I bought a Zulu rug from your centre and I would like to buy another one. Can I view them online?
If not would you be interested in a web site where users could buy your crafts online? I happen to be a web developer and could put a very good shopping site together for you.
There would be no charge for this web site and I would only charge a very small commission on every sale. You would be able to sell your crafts world wide.
All you would need is a digital camera and an internet connection. If you are interested let me know.
In the mean time how can I buy another carpet and how much are they these days.

I have seen 3 copies of Duggan-Cronin's collection of plates. In particular the one on the tribes of the Transkei and Ciskei, The Tswana and the Swazi. Excelent pieces of work. I am a student @ Alice, Fort Hare. Its unbelievable that this institution does not have these historical artifacts in their archives. How would one get ahold of the plates if they are out of Kimberley.

Goeie dag
Ons was verlede maand in Upington vir my suster se troue, ons het verby die Pienk Padstal gery en ek dink die plekkie lyk baie oulik, ons wou daar stop maar moes by my pa se suster om gaan wat in Kakamas woon. My pa Gert Smit het in kakamas groot geword. Ons is baie lief vir die wereld aan julle kant. Lekker dag en groete

Sharon’s comment posted 28th April referring to Durnfords Lodge is far from the truth. We have stayed at Durnfords Lodge on numerous occasions, and find the accommodation, facilities and the hosts to be exceptionally warm and accommodating. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Durnfords Lodge to anyone.
Karen on 29th of April, 2009 at 14:42.
I recommend Durnford's. It has everything you need for a pleasant stay. My two young sons never want to leave. Paddy-Ann makes them feel so special. We have never experienced what Sharon has said. I can not believe Sharon could say such things. Ronell
Ronell and Family on 29th of April, 2009 at 13:43.
When I was told to read comments made by Sharon about Durnford's Lodge on your website my first thought was POOR SHARON. People who are not used to finer things in life react as she has. I have only experienced the best at Durnford's. I will returned everytime I am in Ladysmith. Liza
Liza on 29th of April, 2009 at 13:34.
I can not believe what I have read about what Sharon wrote about her stay at Durnford's Lodge.I am sure that she is not referring to the Durnford's Lodge that I know. I have been using the facilities at Durnford's Lodge for the last five years for all our meetings and functions, that's at least 8 times a year. All our speakers sleep over at the Lodge. Charles and Paddy-Ann are perfect hosts and they are always go out of their way to cater for all our different race groups and religions. The lodge, gardens and conference centre are the best I have used in a long time. Congratulations Durnford. Margaret
Margaret Hurter on 29th of April, 2009 at 13:20.
I refer to the comment posted on the 28th April by Sharon refering to Durnfords Lodge. I find this comment to be extremely unfair as we have stayed at this Lodge on numerous occassions and will testify to the rooms being very clean and well decorated, with Charles and Paddy Ann generous and accomodating hosts who go out of their way to make your stay pleasant and enjoyable. I highly recommend Durnfords Lodge and would encourage Open Africa to first investigate these sort of posts before allowing them to be read on their website as this is a post is a blatant lie.
Michelle on 29th of April, 2009 at 11:24.
I refer to the comment made by Sharon on the 28th April 2009. This lodge has a 4 star grading, done by AA Tourism, and is graded and checked regularly. We take exception to the attitude taken by Sharon and refrain from entering into any further email battles. We are confident and stand by our grading. Paddy ann

Your work is so inspiring - I teach children about African Art and always include an image of your BMW in my lecture on Ndebele Art. The children relate to the pattern and color and love that it is an art that you paint the walls with. With much respect- Katherine Levin LKau, San Jose California, U.S.A.
I Personally thank Mr. PJ Monana for such a post on the web. But I see this only quote back to 2004/5 - Some of us were in this School as far as 1996, my last year.
I beleive the principal have moved from the school and we (as the former students of this school, some of them found on the Facebook group "Lepelle High") need to know of the latest updates.
I suggest events such be held anually or quarterly to mark or celebrate what it proced in the previous years, like maybe calling upon students and teachers of certain year - like for instance, class of 1995 / 1996. I stronly beleive some of us would like to contribute back to the school that made us. ie, we might have used computers to give, or look at the facilities that the school lack, and take it from there.
This was a good initiative to post the school but someone need to follow up on what's said / done from the last post.

Just spent this weekend there. It was very nice! Johan was most kind and helpful! However, I do have to say that this was not the tranquil and peaceful place I envisaged. We were completely surrounded by noisy, smelly 4-wheelers riding through the camp. They were parked everywhere, even had to walk around them to get to the ablutions! I realise that these vehicles are permitted, but could they not park off to one side of the site? and stick to the designated tracks!? Regards, Linda
I went snoek fishing with Nickey this weekend, boy was this the best experience in my life time!
I must say I grew-up on the westcoast but never had the opportunity to go yet.
Will I go again? Yes, a soon as the finances allow me again.

It arriived a few days later at our final destination, with all contents in tact, money, credit cards, jewelery, binoculars, etc. Gini's honesty and concern saved our vacation. Thanks.

This is a must if you are going to Clarens, the town would not be the same without it! Trust me after a night in the G&C Pub, you will need a good breakfast & The Grouse makes the best scrabled eggs I've ever tasted!
Debbie, Frank & Richard are fab behind the bar & you are sure to meet the friendliest people in Clarens!
Thank you for your comment on Mozambique Barry. This is a sad truth, not everyone understands the severity of the impact of quad bikes on the ecology. Let us hope control is improved in the near future.
I have visited Mozambique many times and not once have Ibeen disapointed inthe placees we have stayed. Most places to the north are accessable with a normal LDV with diff lock.
At present other than accommodation being expensive, one can still have a relatively cheap holiday.
On negative note, there are some South Africans who are bent on destroying the ecology by totaly ignoring the ban on beach driving. The quads especialy are destroying every that gets in their way. The Mozambique authorities should take severe action against these HOOLIGANS.
i would like my pub called rambling rose in genadendal to be advertise on your web

Although the Kruger to Canyons area mainly caters for travelers who want to stay in lodges or guesthouses, there are definitely options for camping. All members on this website are listed because they applied. You can try places like Mariepskop View Chalets or alternatively contact the primary contact for the route in order to find out about other options. They will be more than happy to assist.
Kruger to Canyon.
We travel in our mororhome, and find no information on camping in the area. Mainly only lodge accommodation. Do you not cater for campers, caravaners or motorhomers?

Hello Brian,
I would like to find out whether you offer a wildlife rehabilitation course - my daughter is studying Equestrian Stud Farm Mangement which she will complete by the end of this year. She would like to do a Wildlife Rehab course or work at a Rehab Centre.
My daughter is 21 years old.
To whom it may concern,
I'm doing research regarding a skills development centre for my dissertation in architecture which i plan to do in 2009. Please note that this project is purely fictional, and the information provided will be used for academical purposes only.
I'm facinated by your centre and would like to obtain more information.
Any information you'll be able to provide me will be greatly appreciated.
Important things for me to find out are for eg:
- Building requirements (ie. classrooms, offices, ablutions, services, accomodation, reception rooms, auditoriums, kitchens, caffeteria's, etc.
- Courses/services provided by the centre
- Staff / accomodation requirements
- Budget estimates
- Parking requirements
- Visitor access
As i mentioned, this information is purely for academical purposes and are considered confidential, and once again, any information or documentation that you are willing to provide, will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your time.

The correct name for "Thaba-ya-Lepokisana" is Sesalo, thus the area around it is called Sesalong.
Leipzig Mission is built in the area called Sehlong
The true Sehananwa as a language is disappearing, especially the vocabulary. The style of pronounciation is similar to Sengwato (Serowe/Phikwe) with a lot more common "old terminology" with Sebirwa (Bobonong).
The elderly people living in Hananwa/mountain (which is very few at this stage) spoke very similar to Bagwaketsi (Kanye), where they tended to use "e" in the place of "a" in the suffix.
The current language in the area tends to be closer to the school/written North Sotho as used in the schools.

Hello,
We are an Australian based company that retails men's cufflinks. We are seeking to add new product to our range and think that the size of the earrings would make great cufflinks. We would love to retail the some of your jewellery lnes if they were able to be made into cufflinks. Do you think that you would be able to make cufflinks for us?

Just to let you know that we had the most wonderful experience at your camp at Blouberg. The setting is wonderful and the camp hosts attentive and caring - an excellent destination for anyone interested in birding.
I spoke with Joshiah when we arrived at the camp and gave my details. He said he would fax and email me the invoice and receipt. We spent the night of 18 October at Blouberg. Please would you mail us the invoice?
Thanks
Just a couple of suggestions
1: The signage to camp is poor and the camp difficult to locate. The fact that your community camp shares the same name as the other Blouberg nature reserve in the area adds to the confusion
2. The road to the camp, especially through the village is not good at all - it was just the fact that my husband had been to the camp previously, which made us persevere and make it to the camp.
3. The toilets in the rooms are not fixed properly to the floor and wobble about when you sit on them. This has resulted in the outlet pipe seal to break. When you flush the toilet, water leaks on to the floor which is both unsightly and unhygienic. I would suggest that a plumber be sent to attend this problem as it occurred in more than one of the huts.
Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Marie Paterson

Correct singular & plural in Bokkoms copy
okkoms (also spelt bokkems)
Bokkoms are salted, wind-dried fish, usually mullet or horse mackerel. Preparation entails packing layers of gutted fish into a large vat, salting each layer with coarse salt and leaving it to pickle for 24 hours. Thereafter, the fish is hung out to dry on open racks. Traditionally bokkoms was an important component in the diet of Cape farm labourers because it was well preserved and could be transported inland from the coast.

I have liked the initiative you have taken to come up with this type tourism approach which opens up to the rural areas. I always had the passion to see such a thing happen one day and seeing what you have introduced, i can only say that i will always give some sort of support in terms of giving ideas on how best your product can be very much appreciated by the world today. We need to educate the up coming generation not to forget the passed for them to survive the future. I am very much happy because you are also focusing on Environmental conservation which is they factor to our survival on earth today. I am a Zambian and i like to hear someone who talks about conservation at a local level. I'm looking forward to seeing this organisation acheive the best results ever produced in tourism.

Paddy ann

In Loving Memories of my Secondary School Mr. Phenias L.

“Xairu” (pronounced with the 'x' as a click sound made by flattening the tongue on the roof of the mouth and then removing it) means “paradise” in the old language of the San people who used to inhabit the area .

The correct name for "Thaba-ya-Lepokisana" is Sesalo, thus the area around it is called Sesalong. Leipzig Mission is built in the area called Sehlong The true Sehananwa as a language is disappearing, especially the vocabulary.

Thanks Just a couple of suggestions 1: The signage to camp is poor and the camp difficult to locate. The fact that your community camp shares the same name as the other Blouberg nature reserve in the area adds to the confusion 2.

Correct singular & plural in Bokkoms copy okkoms (also spelt bokkems) Bokkoms are salted, wind-dried fish, usually mullet or horse mackerel. Preparation entails packing layers of gutted fish into a large vat, salting each layer with coarse salt and leaving it to pickle for 24 hours. Thereafter, the fish is hung out to dry on open racks. Traditionally bokkoms was an important component in the diet of Cape farm labourers because it was well preserved and could be transported inland from the coast. kkoms
